to write in heart beats
without ado, nor much forethought for this
herein i write my lines in sonnet form
though stilted, in a voice that’s sure to miss
this little attempt cannot do much harm
no love in these lines, though this form should sing
as darkness descends, a different song rings clear
passion i feel, heated desire takes wing
for us to kiss, our hearts beating so near
so often i dream of your kiss and your touch
tempest tossed nights, my heart set afire
the taste of your lips enflames me so much
your body laid bare open to desire
but these are just words, they blow with the breeze
what i want us close now if you please
